The Future of the
Bosque County
Livestock Association
Growing more than just crops! Here are some of the things you can expect from our organization as it begins to grow!
The Bosque County Livestock Association Foundation isn’t just here for today—we’re building a stronger future for youth in agriculture. From expanding educational programs to increasing scholarship opportunities, our goal is to grow our impact and support more students, ranchers, and future ag leaders.
Here’s what’s on the horizon:
🌱 More Scholarships – Helping more students pursue careers in agriculture.
🏆 A Permanent Home for the BCLA – Offices, Show Barns, Rodeo Arena, and MORE!
🐂 Registered Cattle Herd – The BCLA will own and maintain a registered herd of cattle to produce show projects for our members to exhibit at major stock shows.
🚜 Agriculture Education Initiatives – Bringing more workshops and hands-on learning experiences.
We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to build the future of agriculture—together. Want to be part of it?
Annual Wild Game Dinner Fundraiser and Auction:
The Bosque County Livestock Association is proud to present its annual Wild Game Dinner Fundraiser and Auction. This event will serve as the main fundraising event for the year. This event includes a dinner where guests can sample products from a variety of exotic and native species. You can also expect a live auction, bucket raffles, gun raffles, and giveaways!
Registered Cattle Herd
One of our biggest goals is to establish a high-quality registered cattle herd through the Bosque County Livestock Association LLC. This herd will serve as a sustainable resource for our members, providing top-tier show calves and hands-on learning opportunities for students interested in livestock breeding, genetics, and competitive showing.
BCLA Trailers and Association Vehicles
At the Bosque County Livestock Association Foundation, we believe that access to quality transportation shouldn’t be a barrier for students who want to participate in livestock shows, agricultural events, and educational opportunities. That’s why one of our key goals is to provide livestock trailers, a truck, and an SUV for our members and staff.
What This Means for Our Members:
- Livestock Trailers for Member Use – Ensuring students have a reliable way to transport their animals to shows, clinics, and competitions.
- Association Truck & SUV – Dedicated vehicles for staff to haul livestock, travel to events, and transport students safely.
- Lower Costs & More Opportunities – Many students don’t have access to livestock trailers or reliable transportation—this program will remove financial barriers and make participation more accessible.
By investing in transportation, we’re investing in our students, their success, and the future of agriculture. With these resources, our members will have greater access to opportunities, and our Association will be able to expand our impact across Texas and beyond.
